Which Team Will Marc Marquez Join in 2025?
Superstar MotoGP rider Marc Marquez is bound to be sought after by many teams for the 2025 season. Marquez admits that he hasn't thought about his future yet. The Spanish racer will become a free agent after his contract with Gresini expires at the end of this year. So far, Marquez has been strongly linked with the factory teams of Ducati and KTM. Additionally, the rider also has the potential to reunite with his former team, Honda, if they can become competitive again.
Marquez has only completed one official session with Gresini during the post-season Valencia test. Marquez acknowledges that Gresini is not the only team approaching him after deciding to leave Honda.
"I haven't talked to anyone about the 2025 season. I will assess the best options," responded the 30-year-old rider, as quoted by GPOne. "As long as I'm happy and there are good results on the track, there won't be any problems; on the contrary."
Regarding signing only a one-year contract, he also noted, "It must be remembered that after a long-term contract, you cannot enter into another long-term contract. Logically, before deciding to join Gresini, there were contacts with other teams, which I won't disclose."
"I am very grateful to Honda, Ducati, and the Gresini team where I feel very comfortable, and with them, I want to regain all the good feelings," added the six-time MotoGP world champion.
Marc Marquez is now preparing for winter tests in Sepang and Losail scheduled for February. His debut with Gresini will kick off in Qatar in early March.
